Wet pendulum testing assesses the frictional characteristics of an existing pedestrian surface under specified wet conditions. Prime Safety sets out the agreed test locations, completes the field testing and documents the measured results and applicable classifications in the report.
What the scope can cover
- Suitable hard pedestrian surfaces are assessed subject to method and site suitability.
- The classification considered appropriate depends on location, intended use and applicable guidance.
- P0 to P5 are wet pendulum slip-resistance classifications.
- Wet and dry testing are different methods and should not be treated as interchangeable.
- Calibration wording: equipment calibrated by ISTS, a NATA-accredited laboratory.
